GETTING STARTED
BEFORE USE:
Working conditions
Only apply at temperatures between +5°C and +40°C.
Surface requirements
The surface should be dry, clean and free of dust and grease. Synthetics should first be roughened and/or pre-treated with Bison Silicone Primer.
Preliminary surface treatment
For a good result, cover the joint’s edges with masking tape. If necessary, prevent three-sided bonding by filling the joint with a foam backer rod or PE film.
DURING USE:
Handling of packaging
Screw the cap from the tube and pierce the tube membrane with the point at the top of the cap in a twisting movement. Screw synthetic nozzle onto the tube and then cut diagonally.
Directions for use
Inject the sealant evenly into the joint, then within 10 minutes tool with a putty knife or other tool, moistened with a soap solution. Curing: 3 mm in 24 hours, 5 mm in 3 days. Tip: By applying masking tape along the joints completely smooth seams are achieved, remove the tape immediately after tooling.
Points of attention
Silicone hardens under the influence of humidity. Contact with humidity is therefore absolutely necessary during curing. Always consider a joint of at least 6 mm wide. By applying masking tape along the joints completely smooth seams are achieved, remove the tape immediately after smoothing.
AFTER USE:
Stains/residue
Immediately remove stains with white spirit. Cured sealant can only be removed mechanically.
Storage conditions
Store in properly sealed packaging in a dry place at between +5°C and +25°C.
